The festival is not limited to just sampling wines you can enjoy some most gourmet dishes made by some of the most loved chefs in Colorado. - Telluride Bluegrass festival
Telluride Bluegrass festival is an annual music festival that happens in the out town of Telluride. Here you can camp in the mountain site and enjoy music from some of the best performers in the world like John Butler Trio, Mumford & Sons, Elvis Costello, who have performed here in the past. It is a treat for music lovers and campers alike. This four-day-long event usually takes place by the end of June every year.
- The Denver BBQ festival
If you are a BBQ enthusiast, nothing will give you more joy than the world-famous BBQ festival at Denver, where some of the world’s most famous pitmasters cook their signature barbeque platters for you. The event is hosted at Mile High Stadium in Denver, and over 18000 pounds of meat is cooked and served. The entrance to the stadium is free, although you have to pay for the food and drinks. However, if you get a hand on VIP passes, you can meet your favorite pitmasters backstage.
- Greeley Stampede
If you love rodeos, there is no other place to be for the 4th of July celebrations than the week and a half long Greeley Stampede festival at Greeley in Denver. Dating back to the 1800s, Greeley Stampede is a celebration of everything festive and western. Extreme bull rides, concerts, carnival rides, and fair food make it exciting for kids and adults alike.
- A taste of Colorado
Every year, it is a three-day-long food festival on Labor Day weekend in Downtown Denver's Civic Center Park. It is a haven for food enthusiasts worldwide. You get to taste popular dishes from famous restaurants in the county, sample wines and beers brewed locally, and meet celebrity chefs there.
There are also entertainment options like music shows, art & craft vendors, and exhibitions to amp up the fun level.
- Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival
If you are looking for a glimpse into the Scottish- Irish culture, Longs peak annual festival held on the weekend after Labor Day is the place to go. Here people from different regions like Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and the US share their heritage and culture. You can find bands marching, dancing, and playing traditional Scottish music with drums, Bagpipes, and other instruments. You can also find conventional highland-inspired jewelry, clothing, and other accessories for sale at the vendors. Various competitions like hammer throws, putting the stone, and caber throwing is also held.
- Frederick in Flight hot-air balloon festival
It is an annual 3-day festival in the north of Denver, Colorado, where several hot air balloons are flown into the air at early dawn. You can have fun with friends and family by reaching before sunrise, having a small breakfast picnic, and watching the over 40m colorful balloons rise into the air. You can also enjoy watching powered paragliders and skydivers all day. During the night, there are candle sticking events and paragliders with LED jumpsuits to entertain you.
- Colorado State fair
Started in 1869 at Pueblo, the Colorado state fair is one the largest fairs in the west mountain region. It is a mix of entertainment food, and everything festive one can look for in a fair. However, it also hosts one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the state, where you can also find various redo events like bull riding, barrel racing, and more. It also hosts multiple rock music concerts to keep you entertained to the fullest.
- Crested Butte arts festival
The crested butte arts festival is a celebration of art and artists across the world. Several renowned artists display their works, such as paintings, pottery, ceramics cast, and other handicrafts for art lovers to admire and buy. You can also find fun games and activities which let you get your hands dirty and explore your artistic side. This year the location has shifted to Crested Butte Community School from their historic downtown location.
- Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest
Colorado is home to several music festivals that promote music and artists. Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest fort collins is one such three-day long festival that supports new and coming artists to display their talent. The fest has six different stages set up in the vicinity that shows various musical genres, including Kid’s Music Adventure Stage.
- Colorado mountain wine fest
Colorado mountain wine fest is home for wine lovers who want to taste wine right from the source in Palisade. You can sample wines, organic fruit, and chocolates from 56 wineries and farms in Palisade. You can also talk with wine brewers, chefs, and other culinary experts during this festival. There are also educational seminars and fun grape stomping activities to keep you excited at the festival. And you can also take tours to the wineries in the area to make the visit even more exciting.
